A message from your Fire Chief

I would like to welcome you to the Volunteer Hose Company of Throop official Web Site.  Inside you will find information about our services, members, operations and news for our community. Volunteer Hose Company of Throop is a community based Non-profit Organization. We are here to provide Fire and Rescue Services and to teach life safety information that will help us protect you in the Community.  I realize that in order to maintain a high level of service, confidence and to meet and understand your needs, that we must form a partnership.  We have already started doing this by working with the Borough of Throop, Throop Police Department and the neighboring fire departments.  I welcome any and all other community leaders and organizations to join the partnership.  I invite all of you to stop by and meet your volunteers, and to have questions answered as they relate to Fire and Life safety and the services we provide.

Your Volunteers are committed to those of you that live and work in our response area.  We will continue to focus on community education and safety.  We provide mitigation of fires, hazardous materials and all types of rescue incidents.  Our volunteers also provide these services to our adjoining communities.

Volunteer Hose Company of Throop is staffed by over 35 active, dedicated hard working volunteer firefighters. We all have other full time jobs and families, but are here to answer your calls for assistance.  Our volunteers do not receive any money for service rendered.  We are committed volunteers that spend many hours at the station, to ensure that you and you family are protected.

In closing, I would like to thank all of my volunteer firefighters for their dedication, exemplary performance and professionalism that they display every day.
